At Stilewood, we have our own in-house design and drawing department. Managed by a team of experts, our department consists of computer-aided design (CAD) drafting specialists and wood-processing engineers who deal with technical specifications and engineering details. These top-tier experts’ goal: to provide you with the most detailed drawings of your order.
We produce all of our drawing files using Autodesk’s AutoCAD software, a CAD world-wide standard. With AutoCAD, Stilewood efficiently creates single drawings and delivers a coordinated set of drawings to our customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Prior to the start of processing, we provide you with comprehensive shop drawings of all your products. We do this to help eliminate any errors – and to confirm specific details on how your products will be constructed. Having our own in-house custom design team ensures that you have a complete understanding of the products and configurations you have ordered. It also gives you the peace of mind that your product is built exactly the way you want it.
Stilewood shop drawings indicate the methods of construction, material selections, grain direction(s), profiles, joint details, accessories, hardware, glass type, and exact dimensions. These drawings serve as a communication tool between us and your design team. They’re the means by which your design intent is turned into reality. As well, the shop drawings provide vital information for the builder or authorities on the job site, such as: the door handing; unit outside measurements; framing rough opening required; and custom installation details, if necessary.
